The Tigo TS4 energy optimiser offers users a selective deployment feature so that you can customise it to your specific needs. This optimiser works independently of your system’s inverters and you can choose which panels you need to optimise – there’s no minimum or maximum number of panels. If two panels are often shaded by a tree during summer, then you’ll only need to optimise those two.
The selective deployment feature
This feature is down to Tigo’s impedance matching and predictive IV tech. The impedance matching creates a bypass tunnel around the module that’s in the shade and so this module’s power loss won’t affect its neighbours. Predictive IV uses statistics from each module to deploy impedance matching to predict the best settings for a module so it can generate the most energy possible. Tigo’s optimisers are also compatible with most major inverter brands.
There’s also a monitoring feature
Tigo systems can use just the TS4-A-O optimisers if you don’t want to monitor output, but if you do, all you have to do is connect the optimisers, the Tigo Access Point and your Cloud Connect Kit together. If your inverter already has a Cloud Kit then you don’t need to buy one. Your Tigo optimisers have a 25-year warranty, with the Access Point and Cloud Connect having a five-year warranty.

It’s simple to use, as well as flexible and customisable for most people’s needs, especially if you’re not looking for extensive monitoring.
The Tigo optimiser solution doesn’t need you to have a minimum number of optimisers installed in order to work and it can be used with many different inverter brands, making it more flexible to more households. There are two levels of monitoring, including a premium level which involves a subscription, but this is optional – if you don’t have a huge array and you’re not into watching it like a hawk, then the basic level is more than enough.
